Calculate your ROI →DHL Express is rolling out a new Jet Fuel Index effective August 3, 2026, replacing the table in place since April 1, 2026. Every fuel price bracket — unchanged at $1.91–$4.51 per gallon in $0.04 increments — drops by exactly 2.00 percentage points on both export and import surcharges, a rate decrease rather than the increases typical of these updates.
Because the fuel price brackets themselves are untouched, the entire surcharge curve simply shifts down by a flat 2.00 points at every level, on both export and import. That uniformity across all 65 brackets points to a deliberate recalibration of DHL's fuel-based margin rather than a response to a specific fuel-price movement.
DHL Express shippers subject to fuel surcharges will see a 2.00 percentage point reduction on transportation charges and related accessorials (Demand Surcharge, Elevated Risk, Remote Area Delivery/Pickup, Oversize/Overweight, and similar) for shipments on or after August 3, 2026. Shippers should confirm invoices reflect the new, lower percentages once the change takes effect.
