Our Mission

We help shippers see, control, and improve every parcel decision. Carriers built a system designed to be opaque. We built the system to see through it.

Our Vision

Every shipping decision, from a single label to a multi-carrier RFP, made with full data and zero guesswork.

Why ShipScience exists.

Parcel is one of the largest line items in any shipper's P&L, and the hardest to see clearly. UPS and FedEx invoices are designed to be hard to read. Surcharges shift quarterly. Contracts reward the carrier, not the shipper. Most shippers don't know what they're paying for, what they're owed, or what they could be doing differently.

Legacy parcel auditors chase refunds and call it a day. That's table stakes. We built ShipScience to do the harder work: unify every shipment, invoice, and contract into one source of truth, then put that data to work across audit, claims, carrier selection, performance monitoring, and rate negotiation.

The result is a control center. One platform, one data layer, every parcel decision.

What we do.

The Parcel Data Platform is the foundation. It ingests tracking, invoice, and order data across carriers and normalizes it into a single model. Every other product runs on top of it:

ActiveAudit recovers refunds you're owed and disputes invoice errors automatically. SimpleClaims handles loss, non-POD, and damage claims end-to-end. ParcelPulse monitors carrier rate changes and provides a shipper-specific impact analysis in real time. My Next Carrier uses your shipping profile to model alternative carriers before you commit. Rate Negotiations and Network Strategy put our experts to work alongside your team when the stakes are high.

You can adopt one product or the whole platform. The data foundation makes both work.

How we're different.

Most parcel vendors are either consultants with spreadsheets or audit shops chasing credits. We're a software company with operators inside it. Our team combines parcel veterans who've negotiated against UPS and FedEx for decades with engineers and data scientists who've built analytics platforms at scale.

That combination shows up in the product. We don't just tell you what your shipping costs. We tell you what to do about it.

Giving back

Doin’ Some Good.

US shippers go through about 29 million tons of corrugated each year. That works out to roughly 493 million trees worth of cardboard annually, even with an 80%+ recovery rate from recycling.

We partner with OneTreePlanted.org and plant a tree for every customer we onboard. It's a small offset against a big number, but small offsets add up.
